The Kaunas Medical University hospital has 2600 beds, with over 3600 doctors and nursing personel. It has performed over 16,000 of this type of operation over 15 years. Post Operative Care
After your operation you will be in intensive care for 24 hours., monitored by experienced Doctors and Nurses.
Following intensive care you will be transferred to usually a one bed ward for approximately 7 days where you will have access to 24 hour nursing. During your stay, in your room you will have access to a local mobile phone, TV, a personal safe for your money, passport etc., as well as your own shower, toilet etc.
A selection of breakfast cereals and daily fresh fruit is also available in your room.

Re-habilitation
At the end of your hospital stay you will be transfered to a specilaist clinic for re-halbilitation to accelerate your recovery, which is included in your package.
It specialises in the recovery of patients after surgery and general health improvement and has a multitude of therapies available together with bath houses and pools as well as a saline room. Your inclusive treatment will consist of 2 treatments a day and constant monitoring by experienced nurses who mostly speak good English.
A choice of menu is available at mealtimes.
In the wintertime a winter sports / health package is available for your friend / relative if required, also a ski lift and sledge run are available.
